Common Ideal Boilers Error Codes
See your boiler displaying an error code? Here is what it means and what to do.
Check gas supply is on. Could be a faulty ignition electrode, lead, gas valve or PCB. Engineer diagnosis required.
Flame sensor, gas valve or intermittent gas pressure issue. Do not keep resetting — call an engineer.
Fan replacement or PCB issue. Boiler will not light safely without correct fan operation.
NTC thermistor failure on the flow pipe. Inexpensive part — usually a same-visit repair.
NTC thermistor failure on the return pipe. As above — inexpensive and commonly held in stock.
Similar to Worcester E9. Check pressure and pump operation. Do not repeatedly reset without investigation.
Fault code not listed, or boiler keeps locking out?
